| Obverse description | Yellow-orange notgeld note with a tripartite layout framed by a red decorative border. The central panel carries the serial number above the inscription NORDISCHEN, a large red anchor-cross emblem of Kiel in the middle, and the text MESSE IN KIEL below; flanking panels each contain a circular vignette — a town panorama on the left and a grand civic building on the right — each surmounted by ornate red foliate scrollwork and the denomination 10 PFG.
