| Obverse description | The octagonal iron notgeld token features the crowned municipal coat of arms of Lichtenfels at center, depicting a fortified castle or tower motif on the shield, flanked by decorative supporters and surmounted by a mural crown. The arms are enclosed within a raised inner circle bordered by a continuous beaded ring. The circular legend MAGISTRAT DER STADT LICHTENFELS curves around the periphery, with a small floral ornament at the base. The flat field and crisp relief are characteristic of struck emergency coinage of the World War I era. |
