| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field depicts a stylized city gate or fortified tower with three merloned turrets and an arched passageway, rendered in raised relief against a flat field. The design represents the municipal arms or heraldic emblem of Kolmar in Posen. A circular legend reads MAGISTRAT DER KREISSTADT KOLMAR i.P. around the upper periphery, with a decorative star device completing the inscription at the base. The entire design is bordered by a raised bead ring along the outer rim. The style is typical of German Notgeld municipal token coinage of the World War I era. |
