Obverse description Pearl border encircles the design field. At center, the municipal coat of arms of Heidelberg is depicted as a shield bearing a rampant lion facing left, rendered in relief against a hatched field. The legend STADTGEMEINDE arcs across the upper periphery and HEIDELBERG across the lower, each separated by a five-pointed star. A round hole pierces the coin below the shield near the lower rim.

Reverse description Pearl border encircles the design field.
