Reverse description The large numeral '10' dominates the central field in bold raised characters, with the denomination legend PFENNIG inscribed immediately below in a straight line, and the date 1917 beneath that. Flanking the denomination on both sides are two symmetrical sprays of oak leaves and acorns, a traditional German heraldic motif, extending from the lower field upward along the sides. The entire design is surrounded by a continuous beaded border at the rim, giving the reverse a clean, well-structured appearance typical of German municipal notgeld coinage of the First World War period.
