| 背面描述 | The reverse displays the large numeral '10' in bold raised characters occupying nearly the entire field, denoting the denomination of ten Pfennig. The plain, unadorned field is devoid of any additional legend or device. A continuous dotted border follows the octagonal periphery, consistent with the obverse treatment, providing a neat framing to the minimalist design typical of German First World War notgeld issues. |

Heinr. & Aug. Brüning was a chemical and soap manufacturing firm in Hanau whose wartime notgeld issues reflect the near-total collapse of Reichsbank coin supply by late 1918. Municipal and commercial token issuers flooded the German market that year as zinc and iron coinage disappeared into hoarding and industrial recycling. That a soap company was issuing its own currency in the final weeks of the Imperial government tells you more about the state of the German home front than most documents from the period.
