Beschrijving keerzijde Outer pearl border follows the octagonal flan, enclosing a circular pearl ring within which the denomination numeral '10' is prominently centered in the field. The circular legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' (small change substitute token) runs between the outer pearl border and the inner pearl ring. Three small five-pointed stars are evenly spaced in the lower portion of the outer legend band, serving as decorative separators. The overall design mirrors the obverse in its plain, functional Notgeld style.

Aanvullende informatie

Glasfabrik Schildhorst was a glassworks operating near Freden an der Leine in Lower Saxony, and like many German industrial firms during the acute metal and currency shortages of World War I and its aftermath, it issued its own emergency coinage — Werksgeld or factory money — redeemable only within the company's own economic sphere. Zinc was the pragmatic choice when copper and nickel were being diverted to the war effort. These tokens circulated among workers in lieu of small change, typically accepted at the company store or canteen.
