| 正面描述 | Octagonal zinc notgeld token with a plain field at center bearing the large numeral '10' denoting the denomination. A circular legend in raised Latin lettering reads 'KRIEGSGELD STADT EBERBACH' around the upper arc and '1917' at the base, separated by decorative floral ornaments. Two concentric rings of raised beads frame the central field, one inner and one running along the periphery just inside the coin's octagonal rim. The overall design is simple and utilitarian, consistent with wartime emergency coinage production. |

Eberbach issued this zinc notgeld piece in 1917, when the German imperial government had already requisitioned copper and nickel for munitions production, forcing municipalities across the Reich to strike emergency coinage in whatever base metals remained available. Zinc was the default solution for hundreds of small towns simultaneously facing the same shortage, which is why the collector references for pieces like this one run into the thousands.
