| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in deep red and black on cream paper, the obverse carries a bold central vignette of the Arnstadt municipal eagle superimposed over the large letterpress numeral '10' and the denomination inscription 'Pfennig' in Gothic blackletter script. The legend 'Notgeld der Stadt Arnstadt' runs along the upper border in decorative Fraktur lettering, flanked by scrollwork ornaments, while the year '1921' appears at the foot of the design. To the lower left, the validity clause 'Gültig bis 1 Monat nach Aufruf' is inscribed, with the issuing authority designation 'Der Magistrat' and a facsimile signature at lower right, alongside the series letter 'A'; the designer's name 'A PAUL WEBER' is printed in the bottom margin below the frame. |
