| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse displays the municipal coat of arms of Bublitz in the lower central field, consisting of a horizontally divided shield with decorative detailing across its bands. Rising above the shield is a standing robed figure of a saint, depicted frontally with a nimbus, flanked symmetrically on either side by ornate flowering or foliate branches extending upward toward the rim. The circular legend STADT BUBLITZ runs along the periphery, reading clockwise from the lower left. |

Bublitz was a small Pomeranian market town — today Bobolice, Poland — that issued notgeld iron coinage during the severe metal shortages of World War I, when the Reich's demand for copper, nickel, and brass stripped municipal coffers of usable coinage almost overnight. Iron was the reluctant substitute, cheap and abundant but prone to rust, which accounts for the difficulty in finding surviving specimens without significant surface corrosion.
