| 裏面の説明 | The large numeral '10' dominates the central field in bold relief, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The circular Latin legend BREMER VERRECHNUNGS-PFENNIG · 10 runs along the outer periphery, with the text reading continuously around the coin and a raised dot serving as a stop. The design is plain and utilitarian in character, consistent with the emergency coinage (Notgeld) aesthetic of the early Weimar period. |

Bremen issued aluminum notgeld coinage during the post-WWI period when copper and other base metals remained constrained by Allied restrictions on German industrial use. The city's Hanseatic trading identity made local scrip issues a point of civic pride as much as economic necessity — Bremen, Hamburg, and Lübeck each ran independent municipal issues rather than coordinating with the wider Weimar provisional coinage network.
The aluminum composition points to one of the later waves of emergency coinage, when even zinc was considered too strategically sensitive for unrestricted municipal use.
