| 背面描述 | The reverse displays the large numeral '10' centrally positioned within the field, enclosed by a wreath rendered in low relief. The circular legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' runs along the upper periphery, identifying the token as a small change substitute token. Three five-pointed stars are evenly spaced at the base of the design, flanking a central star. The rim features a raised beaded border consistent with the obverse, and the overall design reflects the plain, functional aesthetic characteristic of German industrial Notgeld issues. |

Niederlausitzer Kohlenwerke operated lignite mines in the Lausitz basin south of Berlin, and like hundreds of German industrial firms during the First World War's metal shortages, turned to zinc notgeld to pay workers when official coinage disappeared from circulation. These colliery tokens functioned as internal scrip — redeemable at company stores and canteens, rarely leaving the mine's economic orbit. The zinc composition was itself a wartime concession; the alloy was abundant precisely because brass and copper had been requisitioned for shell casings.
