Reverse description A pearl border follows the inner contour of the octagonal flan. The legend KRIEGSMÜNZE curves along the upper portion of the field, reading from left to right. The large numeral '10', denoting the denomination in Pfennig, occupies the central field in bold raised figures. Three small six-pointed stars are arranged horizontally beneath the numeral in the lower field, serving as decorative stops. The reverse design is stark and utilitarian, characteristic of German Notgeld emergency coinage of the First World War period.
