Описание лицевой стороны	Horizontal notgeld on pale pink-tinted paper with a fine confetti-pattern guilloche underprint throughout. To the left, a vignette within a decorative frame presents the municipal coat of arms of Lingen, flanked by two rampant lions supporting a crowned shield. The denomination '10 Pfg.' appears in bold at upper left and upper right, with the issuer name 'Stadt Lingen' in large letterpress type across the upper centre, below which the legend 'Gutschein über zehn Pfennig' is printed. Two manuscript signatures appear in the lower portion, attributed respectively to Der Magistrat and das Bürgervorsteher Kollegium.

Комментарии	Lingen an der Ems was a small Westphalian market town, and its magistrate issued emergency paper — Notgeld — during the acute coin shortage that gripped Germany from 1916 onward, when the imperial government progressively withdrew copper and nickel coinage for war materials. Municipal authorities across the country filled the gap themselves, with no standardized format and wildly varying quality of issue. The extreme elongation of this note is characteristic of certain lower Saxony municipal issues, where the narrow strip format was chosen partly to discourage counterfeiting by making home reproduction awkward.
