| 备注 |
Brunshaupten — today absorbed into the Baltic resort town of Kühlungsborn — issued this Notgeld piece during the acute small-change crisis of the early Weimar inflation years. Municipal and parish bodies across Germany were authorized to fill the coin vacuum left when metal coinage vanished from circulation, hoarded by a public that correctly anticipated the Mark's collapse. Brunshaupten's Gemeindevorstand was one of hundreds of tiny local authorities that took up that authorization, producing notes that in practice circulated only within the immediate community and were theoretically redeemable at the issuing office.
Collector demand for Weimar-era Kleingeldscheine drove many such communes to issue more than strictly necessary — the line between emergency currency and deliberate philatelic production was openly blurred by 1922.
