备注

Kröpelin is a small market town in Mecklenburg, and like hundreds of German municipalities in 1921–1923, it issued its own Kleingeldersatz — substitute small change — as the Reichsbank failed to keep low-denomination coin in circulation fast enough to keep pace with accelerating inflation. By 1922 the problem was severe enough that towns with fewer than five thousand inhabitants were printing their own emergency paper. Kröpelin was among the smaller issuers, which makes surviving examples proportionally harder to find than Notgeld from larger cities.
