| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is dominated by a bold woodcut-style vignette of a thatched half-timbered barn or farmhouse set at centre, rendered in brown and ochre tones against an unprinted ground. The denomination '10 PFENNIG' and '10' appear in heavy stylised Gothic lettering across the upper arc, flanking both sides, with 'STADT SCHWAAN' inscribed beneath in the same bold typeface. To the left, a validity clause is printed in smaller Gothic script, and to the right appear handwritten signatures above the issuing authority notation; below the central vignette, a Low German dialect verse is set in Gothic letterpress, with a small decorative lozenge ornament at the base. |

| Opmerkingen |
Schwaan is a small town in Mecklenburg, and like hundreds of similarly sized German municipalities, it printed its own Kleingeldersatz — small change substitutes — during the severe coin shortages of the early Weimar period. The 1922 dating places this squarely in the inflation phase before the hyperinflationary collapse later that year, when metal coins were being hoarded or melted and municipal notgeld briefly filled a genuine transactional gap.
The DeNG reference suffix ".2-1/3" suggests this is one of multiple variants within the series — likely a color or print-run distinction documented by Dede and Grabowski's catalog.
