| 正面铭文 | Notgeld 10 Pfennig Dieser Gutschein erlischt 1 Monat nach Aufruf. Der Magistrat: Stadt Sondershausen |
| 背面描述 | The reverse is divided into three vertical panels: the central panel carries an engraved vignette of the Possenturm observation tower set among trees, captioned 'Possenturm' below, with the initials 'F.M.' in the upper right of the vignette. The two flanking panels each repeat the denomination '10 Pfennig' in large Gothic blackletter, framed by the same decorative scrollwork and ring-ornament borders as the obverse. The lower border carries the issue legend 'Ausgegeben im Jahre 1921' split across the left and right panels. |

| 备注 |
Sondershausen's 1921 Notgeld issues belong to the second, more commercially minded wave of German emergency money — by this point many municipalities were producing small-denomination notes explicitly for sale to collectors, a practice that muddied the line between currency and philatelic commodity. Whether this 10 Pfennig piece actually circulated in any meaningful volume is genuinely unclear, as the collector trade had already made hoarding these series economically rational for recipients.
The city was the former residence capital of the Schwarzburg-Sondershausen principality, dissolved in 1918, leaving the municipal administration to manage its own affairs under Weimar-era inflation pressures that made small coinage all but impossible to keep in circulation.
