| 正面描述 | The central vignette presents a fine line-engraving of a rural Idar valley (Idartai) scene — a mill, village, and hilltop tower reflected in a calm river — rendered in brown-olive tones and signed 'RUD. WILD. IDAR'. The main panel carries the issuer inscription 'NOTGELD DES BIRKENFELDER LANDES' in bold letterpress, with flanking ornamental side panels bearing the denomination numeral '10' within decorated cartouches above and below 'PFENNIG'. A circular official stamp of the Landesvorstand is applied at centre-left, with the place and date line 'BIRKENFELD den 1. FEBRUAR 1921.' and a serial number in black at foot. |

| 备注 |
Birkenfeld was an odd political remnant — a Prussian exclave embedded within the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg, detached from the main Prussian territory by a substantial geographic gap. After 1918 it became the Free State of Birkenfeld under Oldenburg administration, a peculiar jurisdictional status that nevertheless gave the Landesvorstand authority to issue emergency Kleingeld during the acute coin shortages of the early 1920s.
The Rud. Wild and Wilh. Wild credits almost certainly indicate a local printing firm rather than a major specialist house — consistent with the decentralized, often improvised nature of German Notgeld production at this level.
