正面描述 Brown and black Notgeld note with bold denominational numerals '10' at all four corners and in a central left-side panel bearing a standing figure of a wild man (Wilder Mann) holding a staff beside a shield inscribed '10 Pfg.', accompanied by the redemption text 'Gegen diesen Gutschein zahlen umstehende Firmen ... an den Überbringer'. The central vignette presents a detailed landscape view of the ruins of Burg Regenstein, labelled 'Burg Regensfein', rendered in fine letterpress line work. The upper border carries the regional motto 'ES GRÜNE DIE TANNE / ES WACHSE DAS ERZ.' and the lower border reads 'GOTT SCHENKE UNS ALLEN / EIN FRÖHLICHES HERZ.', with the printer's imprint 'LOUIS KOCH, HALBERSTADT' at the foot.

背面描述 Brown and black reverse with large '10' numerals occupying the four corner squares against a solid black ground, and an ornamental foliate border running along the top and bottom edges. The central panel carries a soft underprint vignette of an industrial or mining landscape with a figure in the foreground, over which two columns of text list the participating local firms and institutions authorised to redeem the note. The issue date 'Blankenburg (Harz), den 15. Oktober 1920' is inscribed at the head of the central panel, with validity and redemption conditions printed in narrow vertical panels on the left and right margins.

备注

Blankenburg am Harz was one of hundreds of German municipalities that turned to local printers for small-denomination Notgeld in 1920, as postwar coin shortages made even 10-Pfennig transactions difficult to complete. Louis Koch in nearby Halberstadt was a logical choice — a short-haul print run, no shipping delays, and a printer already familiar with this kind of municipal work during the period.

The DeNG reference suggests at least five catalogue variants within the 114 series, likely differentiated by color, text, or serial formatting rather than any fundamental design change.
