The central vignette presents the municipal coat of arms — a black eagle on a teal-blue shield surmounted by a crenellated city wall — flanked by two nude male figures in a classical atlas pose, with stylised Harz fir trees filling the outer lateral panels. The lower panel, printed on a stippled ground, bears in Gothic script the redemption text, the place and date of issue, and the facsimile signatures of the Magistrat and the official 'Klinge'. |

The left two-thirds of the reverse carry the denomination in large, ornate Gothic blackletter script reading 'Zehn Pfennig', below which a four-line verse in Low German (Goslar dialect) is set in a smaller Gothic typeface against a mottled olive-grey ground. The right panel is occupied by a woodcut-style vignette of a draped male figure — identifiable as the legendary 'Männecken' — leaning against a rocky surface, rendered in dark intaglio-style cross-hatching. |
