| Obverse description | Brown letterpress note with a text-based layout. At upper left, the combined heraldic arms of the districts of Altenkirchen and Waldbröl — a rampant lion above and a figure below — are set within a shield vignette framed by foliate ornament. The denomination '10 PFENNIG' appears in bold letterpress at upper right. The body of the note carries the payment text in Gothic script, with two manuscript signatures beneath attributed to the Landrat and Regierungsrat respectively. A red serial number is printed vertically along the right margin. The entire composition is surrounded by a decorative border, with a tiled text underprint reading 'ALTENKIRCHEN UND WALDBRÖL' across the field. |
