At upper centre, a Kölsch dialect proverb appears as a header, with the denomination '10 PFENNIG' in large bold letterpress at left centre and a serial number below. To the right, a vignette within an arched frame portrays a standing armoured figure of Minerva bearing a spear and a shield charged with the Cologne civic eagle. A red circular municipal seal is applied at lower left, and the year '1920' appears vertically along both lateral margins. Three lines of legal text in German, the place and date of issue, and a facsimile signature of the Oberbürgermeister occupy the lower half, with the printer's imprint at the foot. |
