| Obverse description | Finely engraved Notgeld vignette in brown ink on cream paper, centred on a draught horse with elaborately rendered mane flanked by two figures in traditional Bavarian dress — a standard-bearer to the left and a mounted rider to the right — with a church and village buildings visible in the background. The city arms of Traunstein appear twice: the Fleur-de-lis shield to the lower left and the Bavarian lozenge shield centrally below the denomination numeral "10 Pfennig" in Gothic blackletter script. Three manuscript signatures appear along the lower margin beneath the authority inscriptions "Stadtrat" and "Stadthaupt Kasse", all enclosed within a decorative ruled border. |

The note's legal status and redemption conditions are set out in full text, with a large serial number printed in bold to the left of the first clause, and the exchange office and counterfeiting warning given in the closing lines. |
