| Opmerkingen |
Bad Reichenhall issued a run of small-denomination Notgeld in 1920, as hundreds of German municipalities did during the coin shortage that followed the war. The Stadtrat — the town council, not a bank — was legally permitted to authorize these emergency issues under the conditions of the time, which is why the issuing authority reads as an administrative body rather than a financial one.
Bad Reichenhall's issues are generally unspectacular within the broader Notgeld collecting field, distinguished primarily by their local provenance as a Bavarian spa town rather than by any printing or design rarity.
