| Obverse description | Plain cream paper note with a simple letterpress layout enclosed within a single-rule border. The issuer name "Stadtgemeinde Allendorf (Werra)" appears at the top in bold blackletter script with underline, followed by a redemption text in roman type stating validity at the Stadtkasse until 31 March 1921. The denomination is stated twice in the centre — once as "Zehn Pfennig" in Gothic blackletter and once as "10 Pfennig." in bold blackletter — with a light pink guilloche-style underprint of circular coin-like vignettes at the four corners and centre. The printer's imprint "Bodenheim u. Co Allendorf/Werra" appears at the foot of the note. |
