| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in green and black on cream paper, enclosed within a decorative border of interlocking foliate guilloche work. The denomination numeral '10' appears in large circular cartouches at the upper left and right corners, while the issuer legend 'Stadt Bad Ems' is set in Gothic blackletter script across the top. The central field carries the text 'Zehn Pfennig' in bold blackletter over an elaborate acanthus scroll underprint incorporating the city arms, with the issue date 'Bad Ems, d. 18. Nov. 1918' at left, a red official stamp of the municipality, and a manuscript signature of the Magistrat at right; the series and serial number appear in the lower panel in red ink. |
