A red serpentine guilloche border with serrated inner edge frames the central panel, with the numeral '10' printed in bold black at each corner. Within the panel, the issuing authority legend is set in Gothic blackletter above the large denomination inscription 'Zehn Pfennige', printed over a red horizontal-line underprint; below, the authorising body and signatory name appear in smaller Gothic script. |

Numerals '10' appear in grey at each corner, and a central text block in Gothic blackletter sets out the invalidation clause stating the note becomes void one month after announcement in the Waldenburger Zeitungen, with the place and date of issue given at the foot. |
