| 备注 |
Lüben issued this Notgeld in 1919 as part of the wave of small-denomination emergency currency that swept Silesian municipalities when the postwar coin shortage made even the smallest transactions difficult. L. Fernbach's printing house in nearby Bunzlau served several regional towns during this period — a practical choice given the logistical chaos of 1919, when ordering from Leipzig or Berlin was neither fast nor cheap.
Silesia's political future was still unresolved when this note circulated; the plebiscite that would determine the region's partition between Germany and Poland came in 1921. Lüben itself remained German until 1945, when it became Lubin.
