| Obverse description | Salmon-pink note with an overall fine guilloche underprint pattern. The denomination numeral '10' appears at upper left and upper right flanking the central text 'Gutschein über Zehn Pfennig' in decorative Gothic script, with a faint city arms vignette in the centre. Below, the issuing authority inscription and date 'Merseburg, 1. Juli 1918' are printed at lower left, with 'Der Magistrat' and two facsimile signatures at lower right; the validity clause 'Gültig bis 31.
