| Obverse description | Orange note printed on an all-over geometric lozenge underprint, with the arms of Erkelenz in the upper left — a quartered shield bearing a lion and a wheel — flanking the large Gothic-script denomination '10 Pfennig' at centre. A serial number in bold serif type appears below the denomination, followed by three lines of Gothic-script text stating the note's acceptance conditions by local treasury offices, dated 'Erkelenz, den 30. August 1919', and closed by the issuing authority inscription 'Der Kreis-Ausschuß des Kreises Erkelenz' above three manuscript signatures. |
