Obverse description The obverse is printed in green and black on cream paper, framed by a scalloped outer border. A central white cartouche carries the large numeral '10' above the word 'Pfennig' in script lettering, flanked on either side by a guilloche-patterned panel each bearing a heraldic lion passant vignette. The upper legend reads 'GUTSCHEIN ÜBER' and the lower margin carries 'STADT DIEZ A.D.L.' in bold block letters; to the left, the place and date 'DIEZ IM JUNI 1917' are inscribed, while to the right the issuing authority 'DER MAGISTRAT' is noted with manuscript signatures of the Bürgermeister and I. Beigeordneter. The printer's imprint 'JOHANNES PÄSSLER, DRESDEN-N.' appears along the bottom edge.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in green and black on cream paper with a serrated outer border imitating a postage stamp format. A broad black header band carries the legend 'GÜLTIG IM BEZIRK DER STADT DIEZ' in white letters. The central vignette presents two heraldic lions passant on a dark green ground, flanked by two lateral panels each inscribed with the numeral '10' over 'ZEHN PFENNIG'; the series designation 'REIHE K.' appears in red at lower left and the serial number in red at lower right. A block of small-print German text along the lower margin states the redemption conditions, noting acceptance by the Stadtkasse until 31 March 1919 and the possible extension to 31 December 1919.
