正面描述 Brown-toned Notgeld note with a fine guilloche underprint across the entire field. The city arms of Fraustadt — a heraldic shield bearing a cross, flanked by two standing religious figures — occupies the central vignette, with large numeral "10" printed in dark ink to either side. The upper legend reads "Notgeld der Stadt Fraustadt" within a decorative border, while the lower margin carries the validity inscription "Gültig bis 1 Monat nach Aufforderung"; the series designation "Reihe I" and a serial number appear in red at centre-bottom, below two manuscript signatures on behalf of "Der Magistrat".

备注

Fraustadt — today Wschowa, in what is now western Poland — was part of the Prussian Province of Posen when this note was issued. Like hundreds of German municipalities, the Magistrat turned to small-denomination emergency paper (Notgeld) during the First World War once coins vanished from circulation, hoarded by a public that trusted metal over paper. Carl Flemming & Wiskott in Glogau were among the more prolific regional printers serving this demand across Silesia and Posen.

The city changed hands in 1945 and was transferred to Poland under the Potsdam Agreement.
