| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion shows a golden key between two rocks and a rising sun over the sea, the lower-left section bears the national Lone Star, and the lower-right features a landscape with a royal palm. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a fasces and is flanked by two branches — an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right — tied at the base. The circumscribed legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs across the upper field, while the denomination 10 PESOS is inscribed along the lower rim.
