Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion shows a golden key between two rocks and a rising sun over the sea, the lower-left section bears the national Lone Star, and the lower-right features a landscape with a royal palm. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a fasces and is flanked by two branches — an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right — tied at the base. The circumscribed legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs across the upper field, while the denomination 10 PESOS is inscribed along the lower rim. The silver fineness and weight specifications AG 0.999 and 20 G appear in the left and right fields respectively, completing the design.
