Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield surmounted by the Phrygian cap atop a staff and flanked by an oak branch at left and a laurel branch at right. The legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the face value 10 PESOS is inscribed along the lower periphery. The fineness and weight designations AG 0.999 and 1 OZ appear on either side of the arms in the field.
