The commemorative legend BICENTENARIO DEL REGLAMENTO DE TIERRAS DE 1815 arcs across the upper field of the outer ring. A celebrated quotation attributed to José Artigas, reading LOS MÁS INFELICES SERÁN LOS MÁS PRIVILEGIADOS, is inscribed across the lower portion of the outer ring. The denomination $ 10 appears in the exergue of the inner disc.
