| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion shows a golden key between two rocky promontories and a rising sun, the lower-left features alternating blue and white stripes representing the sea, and the lower-right displays a royal palm tree. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a fasces, and flanked by a wreath of oak branches to the left and laurel to the right.
