Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three quarters bearing a golden key, a royal palm, and blue-and-white striped bands, surmounted by a Phrygian cap above a rising sun, and flanked by laurel and oak branches tied with a ribbon at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters. The face value 10 PESOS is inscribed in two lines along the lower periphery. The design is executed in high relief against a polished proof field.
