| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black ink with red overprint accents on a lightly tinted ground. A central vignette depicts a gaucho on horseback herding cattle across an open pampa landscape. To the lower left, a standing male figure in period dress is rendered in intaglio, while a portrait of a young woman occupies the lower right corner. The bank title BANCO COMERCIAL DE SANTA FÉ arches across the upper portion, flanked by the numeral 10 at each corner, with the denomination DIEZ PESOS in bold letterpress and the place and date of issue, Rosario, 2 de Enero 1869, inscribed below the central vignette. |
