| Popis rubu | The obverse of this pattern features a bold, high-relief effigy of the Cabeza de Coyolxauhqui, inspired by the monumental Aztec stone disc discovered at the Templo Mayor in Mexico City in 1978. The massive frontal face of the moon goddess is rendered with characteristic Mexica sculptural detail, including large circular ear ornaments, an elaborately decorated headdress, teardrop adornments beneath the eyes, and a protruding lower jaw ornament. The truncated neck is visible at the lower portion of the design, emphasizing the decapitated form of the deity. Below the effigy, the denomination legend reads DIEZ PESOS and the date 1978 appears beneath, both in bold sans-serif lettering within the lower field. |
