| Reverse description | The coat of arms of the State of Oaxaca is prominently displayed at the center of the field, rendered on a scroll-shaped shield surmounted by a small depiction of the national eagle emblem. The shield features the state's heraldic imagery including pre-Columbian figures and architectural elements, encircled by the state motto EL RESPETO AL DERECHO AJENO ES LA PAZ.
