Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a fasces, the shield itself divided into three sections showing a golden key between two coastal promontories, a rising sun over the sea, and a royal palm tree against a mountainous landscape. The arms are flanked by two branches — an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right — tied together at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 PESOS is inscribed along the lower rim. The weight and fineness specifications 20 G and AG 0.999 appear in the left and right fields respectively, confirming the coin's silver content.
