| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms, featuring the shield with a royal palm, rising sun, and key, flanked by laurel and oak branches, occupies the central field within a raised inner circle bearing the legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA at top and the denomination 10 PESOS at bottom, with the fineness LBY.925 and weight 27 GRS inscribed on either side. Surrounding the inner circle, arranged in a ring across the wider field, are eight historical Ibero-American coins depicted in relief, including recognizable types from Mexico, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Spain, Portugal, and Central America. The overall design forms part of the eighth Ibero-American series dedicated to historic coinage, presenting a harmonious juxtaposition of the Cuban arms at center and the companion national emblems and coinage motifs of other participating nations in the outer ring. |
