Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms is centrally displayed, featuring the traditional shield divided into three sections: the upper portion depicts a rising sun over a key between two landmasses, the lower-left section bears diagonal blue and white stripes, and the lower-right section shows a royal palm. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap bearing a single star, and flanked by an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right, crossed and bound at the base. The encircling legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 10 PESOS appears at the base. The fineness designation 1 OZ and AG 0.999 are inscribed vertically on the left and right fields respectively. The entire design is bordered by a rope-and-Greek-key decorative rim.
