At left, an oval vignette of a classical female figure in laurel wreath facing right, surrounded by intricate lathe-work border ornaments; at upper right, a vignette of a horse's head facing left within a decorative frame; at lower right, an oval vignette of the provincial coat of arms. The centre carries the bank title 'El Banco de San Juan' in bold letterpress, with the denomination 'DIEZ PESOS FUERTES' and the promise-to-pay text 'pagará al portador y á la vista en moneda de ley', series and serial number fields, and signature lines for Consejero and Gerente.

Описание оборотной стороны	Printed in red-orange with a blue-grey guilloche underprint, the reverse is dominated by three oval portrait vignettes arranged horizontally across the centre: two smaller busts of male figures flank a larger central bust of a male figure, all rendered in intaglio. Corner counters display the numeral '10' in each of the four corners within ornamental frames, and a repeating guilloche border runs along all edges.

Комментарии	The Banco de San Juan was one of several provincial Argentine banks chartered in the 1850s and 1860s under a fragmented federal banking system that allowed individual provinces to issue their own currency. San Juan, a small Andean province dependent on wine and mining, had limited commercial activity — which means notes from this bank saw restricted circulation and were not printed in large quantities. The undated "18__" format was standard ABNC practice for provincial Latin American clients: plates were engraved once, with the year left blank for hand-completion at time of issue. PS#1882 is among the scarcer San Juan entries in the Pick specialized catalog.
