Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion bearing a key between two promontories representing Cuba's geographic position, the middle section showing a rising sun over a landscape with a royal palm, and the lower section with diagonal blue and white stripes. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a pike and flanked by two laurel branches tied at the base. The curved legend 'REPUBLICA DE CUBA' arcs across the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, while '10 PESOS' appears prominently along the lower rim. The weight designation '15 G' is inscribed to the lower left and the fineness mark 'AG 0.999' to the lower right, both within the field.
