Trial strikes — pruebas — from the Cuban state mint occupy an odd corner of numismatics: officially produced for internal approval but never catalogued in standard references, which is why this piece carries no KM number. The JMA reference places it within a documented prueba sequence, meaning it passed through the Casa de la Moneda's approval process without ever reaching a confirmed circulation or collector issue.
