Obverse description The obverse features the Cuban national coat of arms at centre, comprising a shield quartered with a golden key between two mountains and a rising sun in the upper portion, a royal palm in the lower right quarter, and diagonal blue and white stripes in the lower left quarter. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap on a fasces and flanked by a wreath of oak leaves on the left and laurel branches on the right, bound at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs around the upper field, while the denomination 10 PESOS is inscribed along the lower border. The silver content designations 1 OZ. and AG 0.999 appear in the left and right fields respectively.
