Obverse lettering El Banco de Hidalgo pagará diez pesos en esta ciudad, a la vista, al portador, en efectivo.
(Translation: The Banco of Hidalgo will pay ten pesos in this city, on demand, to bearer, in cash.)
Reverse description Printed entirely in green, the reverse is dominated by a central oval vignette of a panoramic cityscape of Pachuca, Hidalgo, set against a hillside backdrop. Denomination numerals "10" appear within elaborate guilloche rosettes to the left and right of the vignette. The bank name is split across two cartouches — "BANCO" at the top and "DE HIDALGO" at the bottom — framing the central scene, with the printer's imprint reading "American Bank Note Company, New York" along the lower margin.
Reverse lettering BANCO DE HIDALGO
AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK.
(Translation: Bank of Hidalgo)
