| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield quartered with a golden key between two rocks and a rising sun above, a royal palm tree, and diagonal blue and white stripes representing the original Cuban provinces, all surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a fasces. The shield is flanked by a wreath composed of oak branches to the left and laurel branches to the right. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs across the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 PESOS is inscribed along the lower border. The weight and fineness designations 20 G and AG 0.999 appear in the left and right fields respectively. |

| Reverse description | A bold front-facing portrait of Ernesto 'Che' Guevara dominates the central field, rendered in high relief with characteristic long hair, beard, and his iconic starred beret. The portrait is set within a recessed circular panel framed by a raised border. The birth year 1928 is inscribed at the upper left of the border, with the commemorative year 2003 at the upper right. The arc legend 75 ANIVERSARIO DE SU NATALICIO curves along the lower periphery, commemorating the 75th anniversary of his birth. |

| Additional information |
Cuba has issued Che Guevara commemoratives repeatedly since the 1970s, but this 2003 piece falls within a period when the Cuban state was aggressively marketing silver collector issues to foreign buyers as a hard-currency revenue stream — euros and dollars the domestic economy desperately needed. The coins were never intended for Cuban circulation; most went directly to European and Latin American dealers.
KM#792 is one of several overlapping Guevara types from this era, which has created persistent catalog confusion between issues of similar size and fineness struck within just a few years of each other.
